DRG Integration

Our programs are designed to increase the likelihood that in-country partners will institutionalize processes that increase opportunities for meaningful public participation in needs assessment, prioritization, and problem- solving processes.

We train communities to identify the causes of implementation gaps addressed by asking three questions:

(1) Can norm addressees act in the legally envisaged manner?

(2) Do norm addressees believe it is in their self-interest, and commensurate with their values, to act in the legally-envisioned manner?

(3) Has the process of developing a new policy, program or law been conducted in such a manner as is likely to reduce the gap between intent and action?

We then empower communities to address implementation gaps by proposing law reforms, behavioral change communication programs, and capacity-building programs to overcome the identified causes of implementation problems.

Our cross-sectoral processes, guided by the Participatory Problem Solving approach, lead to sustainable, evidence-based solutions with broad legitimacy and effectiveness.
