Experts in participatory, socio-economic, and legal research methods supervise the development of research protocols, train analysts and researchers, and provide ongoing consultative and backstopping support throughout the research process. Our consultants are also available to directly conduct research to support legislative and regulatory drafting, assessment, amendment and oversight processes, as needed.


Drafting

Experienced legislative and regulatory drafters offer technical assistance by:

  1. drafting bills and amendments for Members of Parliament;

  2. working under contracts with ministries to draft bills that will be tabled for legislative consideration;

  3. translating civil society recommendations into well-drafted bills; and

  4. assessing draft bills, identifying gaps, and recommending amendments.


Dialog Facilitation

Facilitators with experience effectively depolarizing issues and promoting constructive dialogue between individuals with different interests, agendas, and biases are available to facilitate dialogue on social, economic and political issues of local, national, or international importance.

Coaching Members of Parliament

  1. speak in parliament regarding issues affecting their constituents and the country at large;

  2. assess reports submitted regarding the functioning of government bodies;

  3. ask questions of ministers/executive officials in committee meetings and in the assembly;

  4. analyze and assess bills; and

  5. write committee reports.
